Like every year we are celebrating the prize Achieving the Extraordinary which consists of acknowledging students who have achieved something exceptional in different areas such as: academics, sports, leadership, positive attitude and resilience in the face of adverse situations or achievement beyond school.
Renee Godelmann Diaz is an exemplary Grade 5 student who has modeled our school mission and values since Pre-1st. She is nominated for the Achieving the Extraordinary award because after a three-year writing process, this 2022 year she finally achieved her dream of publishing "Girls to Vampires" which sold successfully at our JFK Book Fair and also received rave reviews from readers.
Alejandro Gutiérrez Lomelí 17 years old, is the precocious fully certified pilot in 11th grade. “Currently, I am in a learning phase and I am about to obtain my private pilot's license. So far, I have managed to complete my first solo at 16 and my first cross country solo at 17. My goal is to become a pilot as a utility to myself even though this is not my career of choice as it is a skill with many advantages that requires leadership skills and commitment.”

Como todos los años estamos celebrando el premio Achieving the Extraordinary que consiste en reconocer a los estudiantes que han logrado algo excepcional en diferentes áreas como: académica, deportiva, de liderazgo, actitud positiva y resiliencia ante situaciones adversas o logro más allá de la escuela.
Renee Godelmann Diaz es una estudiante ejemplar de quinto grado que ha modelado la misión y los valores de nuestra escuela desde Pre-1st. Está nominada para el premio Achieving the Extraordinary porque después de un proceso de escritura de tres años, este año 2022 finalmente logró su sueño de publicar "Girls to Vampires", que se vendió con éxito en nuestra Feria del Libro JFK y también recibió excelentes críticas de los lectores.
Alejandro Gutiérrez Lomelí de17 años, es piloto totalmente certificado en grado 11. “Actualmente, me encuentro en una etapa de aprendizaje y estoy a punto de obtener mi licencia de piloto privado. Hasta ahora, he logrado completar mi primer solo a los 16 años y mi primer cross country solo a los 17 años. Mi objetivo es convertirme en un piloto como una utilidad para mi, aunque esta no sea mi carrera a escoger ya que es una habilidad con muchas ventajas que requiere de habilidades de liderazgo y compromiso.”
