¿Por qué decidiste ser maestra?
Bueno, cuando empiezo a pensar a qué jugaba yo en mi infancia, el primer recuerdo que me viene a la mente es a la escuelita. Siempre supe que quería ser maestra, ponía mis juguetes, que eran mis alumnos y yo me la pasaba horas y horas entretenida jugando a la escuelita.
Así es que después pasó el tiempo y cuando llegó el momento de decidir qué profesión iba a estudiar. Pues yo ya lo sabía, yo siempre supe que quería ser maestra, me gusta estar con los niños, me gusta, es una profesión muy gratificante, muy noble, no es fácil. Creo que tenemos que tener esa vocación para ser maestra, pero ese es mi recuerdo siempre de la infancia.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de tu trabajo?
De mi labor como docente, lo que más me gusta es la convivencia con los niños, el aprender de todos sus comentarios, el escucharlos, el ver sus caritas de asombro cuando descubren cosas maravillosas y novedosas.
Es muy satisfactorio para mí ver cómo los niños van logrando sus objetivos, cómo van creciendo y el haber formado parte en ese proceso de los niños. El que me contagian su alegría, su energía, su emoción. Es algo muy satisfactorio.
Llevo 32 años de trabajar en esta escuela, he sido muy feliz porque me siento como en mi segundo hogar. Vengo muy contenta, tengo muchas amigas aquí, mis compañeras que siempre nos apoyamos.

Why did you decide to be a teacher?
Well, when I start to think about what I used to play in my childhood, the first memory that comes to mind is the little school. I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher, I put my toys, which were my students, and I spent hours and hours entertaining playing school. So then time passed and when it was time to decide what profession I was going to study. Well, I already knew that, I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher, I like being with children, I like it, it is a very rewarding profession, very noble, it is not easy. I think we have to have that vocation to be a teacher, but that is always my childhood memory.
What do you like most about your job?
What I like the most about my work as a teacher is living with the children, learning from all their comments, listening to them, seeing their astonished faces when they discover wonderful and new things. It is very satisfying for me to see how the children are achieving their goals, how they are growing and to have been part of that process for the children. The one who spread his joy, his energy, his emotion with me. It's a very satisfying thing.
I have been working at this school for 32 years, I have been very happy because I feel like I am in my second home. I come here very happy, I have many friends here, my colleagues who always support each other.
